Trickle down would work, no way it could miss
The deficit, rose and rose
Started most of our economic woes

The President looked us in the eye and spoke
Said things were fine, but we were broke
Unpaid bills
The country had ills

Bill came along and proposed a tax hike
The Republicans told us ruin would strike
Suddenly, deficits started to fall
The economy soared, never did stall

Now Bush and friends want to try again
